Originally from Iowa, I studied at the University of Iowa. I now teach
at an international school (www.senri.ed.jp) in Osaka, Japan, where I live with my wife and our three children. We return to Iowa every summer. It is easiest to contact

Lease length
A 12-month (or longer) lease is preferable, August through July.
A shorter lease is negotiable.
The rent is comparable to that of other similarly-sized condos and reasonable,
I think, considering the wonderful deck, private parking, and all appliances.
The condo location and short-term lease are perfect for someone who prefers quiet surroundings,
who needs convenient access to many places, and who doesn't want to be bothered with subletting during the summer. A
visiting music professor from Yale found the place much to her liking in the past. We
prefer non-smokers with no pets. The unit and complex are wheelchair accessible.
As overseas residents who know the difficulties of moving to a new city and living in a
foreign country, we are keen to offer the condo to people new to Iowa City or to international residents new
to the Midwest. (We speak Japanese.)
